Based on recent happenings worldwide, the word Loyalty has been surfacing; and this we need to take a closer look at what loyalty really is about.

The world’s way and God’s way of looking at loyalty are two different ways. The world only shows loyalty if there is a benefit attached to it. For God, loyalty has nothing to do with any benefits attached.

Lamentations 3: 22-24 says, “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”

Even where people’s loyalty shift from God because of the changes in their life’s circumstances – whether you get rich or adversity hits your finances, God still remains loyal to us, He gives us new mercies each morning. The song ‘Great Is They Faithfulness’ comes to mind. If you want to know what loyalty is, even in Christian leadership, see who sticks with you when adversity hits.

Loyalty should not be based on what can be gained in a relationship or whether a person likes you or not, true loyalty comes without condition. Be loyal to god first, and to your country, your leader, and your relationships. Loyalty is not just a word it is a lifestyle that you ought to choose.

There are those who say they are loyal to God, but are unfaithful in their service to Him, in seeking Him, in their giving unto Him and walk away when they don’t get what they want from Him. Being loyal to God means you respect His position/decision on a matter, and also that you will follow His principles and instructions on an issue. Some say they are loyal to their spouse, but as soon as there is disagreement, they walk away from the relationship or cheat on their spouse.

Even where a person and their leader/boss have a falling out, they must remain loyal in confidentiality, because confidentiality is a principle connected to our moral values and if we do away with that, then it compromises our morals and taints our motives. The falling out does not give an individual the right to release information that was entrusted to them in confidentiality.  Look at Saul and David.

Talking about the leader or spouse behind their backs, or about their personal information or weaknesses after walking away from that relationship is a serious lack of loyalty.

If one’s service is not dedicated, if there is no commitment and if a person is not walking in service to God nor in holiness, they are not loyal to God.

A major part of the Body of Christ is not functioning in loyalty to God. The world, and sadly many in Christendom, don’t show loyalty unless loyalty is shown to them. That means they won’t show loyalty unless they can directly derive the benefits of the relationship or connection.

We need to take a very serious look at the word LOYALTY particularly in this season.

Many times in the business arena and in the Church, leadership will get frustrated, and companies and churches struggle at times because they are unable to service those within. Until you identify who you are called to and where your greatest support lies, who supports your business/church you will not move forward.

Luke 4: 18 – 19, says, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” My calling is to the poor in spirit, poor in finance, to set the captives free and to bring healing to the brokenhearted and recovery of sight to those who are blind spiritually and physically. So if you are a prostitute, if you messed up, if you are a misfit, if you are rejected, or if you are a sinner or you are unrighteous – WELCOME!

I am not called to righteous people, nor religious people, nor to those who have already arrived. Paul was called to the Gentiles so God gave him the grace to deal with the Gentiles. He was set apart (Romans 1: 1 – 7) Many leaders – whether business or church – are spending too much time focusing on the wrong areas. Some even get disheartened and discouraged when certain people within the society don’t accept them. You will not be accepted by everyone in the society it is not Scriptural. The Pharisees did not accept Him and neither did His own city/town.

When God gives you an assignment, keep going, keep doing good! Give hope to people! Stop moping and groping and focusing on those who criticize you nor accept you. Do an analysis and see who your biggest supporters are and focus on them; those who genuinely help you. Who are your biggest clients? Who always supports your work no matter what? Those who are called to you will follow you. Recognize that you are not called to everybody. Companies fall when they change their mandate.

I once worked with a very large company that was doing very well and when they began to change their focus and mandate, that is when the company started to shake and it has not been the same since. Acknowledge and embrace your difference and run with it. Many churches are diverting from the mandate – even transforming to attract a certain set of people; or doing things which are not Scriptural. Now the many churches are becoming a laughing stock. Jesus did not try to fit in at all. Stick to your mandate despite the challenges. Know your clientele know your sheep.

Many times the poor are more appreciative of the work you do and the sacrifices made and they need your difference. Many Pastors today say they are called to the rich, but the rich don’t truly need God until they become poor.

Luke 23: 39 – 43 says: “Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

The choices we make on a daily basis are the keys to life, change and deliverance. There were two thieves on crosses beside Jesus – one made the right choice and one mad the wrong choice. An innocent man was ridiculed, rejected, mocked, whipped, flogged and nailed to the cross. We see this happen on a daily basis today. We see people doing the same thing today to Jesus! They ridicule His existence, death and resurrection. Even personally as Christians, many are murdered, ridiculed and mocked for their faith. Some even wonder if, when they are carrying their cross, if they are cursed. But there is good news for all who suffered – HE IS RISEN! He has paid it all for us! For the sinners you have a choice – to believe and to receive Him. Don’t let family, pride, money, sex, material things, cause you to make the wrong choice. He is giving each person an opportunity tonight. Don’t be like the thief who rejected Him.

Romans 10: 9 – 13 shows us the way to Salvation. Just say this little Prayer:

Lord I am a sinner, I believe in you as Lord and Savior. I believe in your death and resurrection, Come into my heart. Wash me with your blood and save me. I confess all my sins. And I ask you to accept me as your son/daughter. Amen!

That’s it you are saved! Welcome to the Family

There are many doctrines and teachings regarding blessings and prosperity. Even some Christians have become unstable in pursuing prosperity; and some will ditch their church every 6 months in pursuit of prosperity. There are even teachers teaching about what is good soil versus what is not good soil, and if what they are teaching is true, then how would they explain wealthy cults and poor churches? For every Christian to walk in certain blessings, there are certain details they must follow in PROMPT OBEDIENCE! Your blessing is always at a place which God desires you to worship and make a sacrifice.

(Genesis 22: 1 – 4) There are even certain offerings which are voluntary and there are certainly those which are mandatory. For example, Sin Offerings and Trespass Offerings are mandatory for every believer to establish a covenant with God, which require consecration and holiness in order to receive certain blessings. That means you cannot make decisions based on how you feel about something or what you think it should be. You have to make decisions by the Holy Spirit and regardless of own you feel.

Furthermore, you cannot make decision by focusing on the natural things around you. You have to lift your eyes up and look to the mountains – meaning shifting your focus to the Spiritual. Then you will see your Jehovah Jireh. There are certain blessings that would come to you, but for the greater blessings, you will have to get up early and go to it! It will mean a consecrated lifestyle so that you can be sensitive to His Holy Spirit and the instructions He will give -that you may get to Mount Moriah which is mandatory for every believer.

Stop focusing on the church you attend and the pastor who leads you and become consecrated in order to get the covenant that God has in store for you.
Finally, good soil is your heart condition. (Ezekiel 17: 8; Mark 4: 1 -20)
Why are you not fruitful?

Acts 14: 22 says “strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”

A lot of Christians are failing and falling into apostasy because many do not want to entertain even the word ‘suffering’. To be honest, even if you Tithe, sow seed, decree and declare, fast and pray, the Lord will still allow you to go through suffering. Suffering and hardship prepare you for your number one focus – “Heaven No Matter What!”

Suffering brings greater glory and challenges us to renew our minds! Then we have the choice to either Curse or Praise God – which was the choice given to Job.

Let it be clear – God can’t get the glory from our lives unless we go through suffering. Jesus, the Son of God, Himself had to walk the road of suffering throughout His life on earth; and His life culminated with the ultimate experience of suffering – His Crucifixion. Every great man and woman walked a road of suffering of some kind. Check Joseph, Ruth, Esther, Moses! Moses walked away from the palace (Hebrews 11: 25 – 26) because of the injustices he saw the people suffering and he chose to suffer than to live comfortably in the palace while the people endured the suffering.

II Corinthians 4: 8 – 9 Paul outlined the different levels of suffering one would go through, so that a greater glory of God would manifest! He also said that while the outward man is perishing, the inward man is being renewed day by day. In summarizing Paul said, our temporal suffering would bring ‘a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”

Because Christians don’t want to suffer they are now even creating teachers to give them messages to feed the flesh which is now causing many to fall into apostasy – walking from church to church believing that the church or the leaders are the problem.

Suffering also brings perseverance which brings character and hope. (Romans 5: 3 – 5) And today, many people need both character and hope.

Stop focusing on money, houses, cars, fame and fortune; and begin to focus on the kingdom – which is more spiritual than material. The material things are already a part of the promise for obedience. (Deuteronomy 28: 1 – 14)

You cannot get The Anointing or certain blessings unless you place value on the Anointing of your Leaders/Mentors. Many disrespect and dishonor the Anointing on their Leaders/Mentors and pay the price. Gehazi did it! Eli’s children also dishonored their father; they did not respect the anointing that was on their father! What should have been their birthright to be passed on to them was instead passed on to Samuel who was not Eli’s biological son! Their actions also cost them their lives!

When you are in the midst of or have access to mighty men/women of God, don’t let familiarity blind you! Familiarity is the enemy of your breakthrough! It causes you to lose sight of their spiritual authority. It causes you to see someone in the flesh and not in the spirit.

There are battles that you are going to go through, but it is going to take the Godly wisdom and the Anointing of your leader to bring deliverance to you and prevent you from going down. It is not about years of service and how long you are serving a leader but HOW YOU HONOR HIM OR HER!

If the sons of the prophets honored Elijah, God would never bypass them and raise up Elisha who was previously ploughing his father’s field.

To HONOR means ‘to esteem, respect, pay homage, to hold in high respect.”

Some people only honor those they feel are honorable according to their view/standards. But not so! Even if your parents are poor, they are still your parents and must be treated with honor.

Seek after what is inside of your leader – the positive attributes and principles! Ask them how you can help them to fulfill the mandate and the vision God has given them. Never allow friends family or familiarity to rob you of the great things God has in store for you by not honoring the Leader/Mentor and the Anointing placed over your soul.

Times and Seasons are critical to understanding God’s moves! There are many things taking place in local media and in politics locally and it affects the people significantly. People have become fearful of what the future holds. Regardless of who leads, God’s kingdom will stand! It’s all about God’s kingdom!

There is a difference between the people’s choice and God’s choice! The people’s choice always brings disappointment and let down. Saul (the people’s choice) was anointed by way of a vial. David was anointed by way of the horn! Saul was anointed commander and prince; (I Samuel 9: 16) TO SAVE GOD’S PEOPLE FROM THE PHILISTINES But David was anointed King! God provided himself a king – thus David was not the people’s choice; David was God’s choice.I Samuel 16: 1 says; “…For I have provided Myself a king …” There is a difference between allowing and providing! Saul was allowed, but David was provided!!!

The reason there is a global leadership crisis – Canada, USA, UK and the Caribbean – the people have departed from God and have rejected God and his reign over them; many are serving other gods! I Samuel 8: 6 – 10 reminds us

“But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day—with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods—so they are doing to you also. Now therefore, heed their voice. However, you shall solemnly forewarn them, and show them the behavior of the king who will reign over them.” So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who asked him for a king.”

When the people repent and return, God will raise up a David (His choice), to rule over the people, If the people do not repent and return they will continue to be deceived and disappointed by political leaders!

When a person becomes the leader of a nation, the first question to be asked is “Is this God’s Choice or Man’s choice?

Many times people are calling out for help desperately, but the when you call out for help the answer is – He daily loads us with benefits. (Psalm 68: 19) Help comes to us each day, but many fail to recognize and to discern when help comes! Help comes when you get into God’s Presence! Many are too busy to get into God’s presence. You become spiritually bankrupt because you run out oil. You believe that the problem you have is natural but it is in fact spiritual; and this is why God wants you in His Presence!

We cannot tell God what kind of help we need, how He is to send the help, what package to send it in and when to send it. Sometimes when God wants to help you, He sends someone or you to help first. You may think they are the ones who need help, but it is in fact you who needs the help and the Lord is allowing His principles to manifest in your life. Think about Elisha and the Widow. Elisha asked for help, but in fact it was the woman that God wanted to help! God created a need in Elisha’s life in order to bring help and to bless the Widow! She was in debt, despair and death was at her door. It was the anointing on the life of the Man/Servant of God that brought back to her life, hope and prosperity!

Be careful that when God sends help you allow friends and family to rob you of the greater plans and purposes of God in your life. There are some situations that will develop in your life at times, and it can only take an anointed, holy-living servant of God that God would use to change the circumstances. Even some pastors are crying that they are going through some severely rough times. God might send help to even invite you to a place or a function to be poured into – but because you are not the guest speaker or not even on the speaker’s list you turn away and ultimately you are turning the help away! Many blessings are missed this way!

In order to discern when help comes, we need to renew our minds. Don’t try to figure God out – how He is going to help. Some people are looking for help from the rich and the prominent, but I will say it again … YOUR HELP MAY VERY WELL LIE IN THE MUDDY PLACES … those places where the rejects are; those places where the poor and ignored or neglected are – that may be the place at which God has chosen to release His blessings on or to you!
