Prophetic Word For May

(Numbers 1, 2 & 3)

By: Apostle Dr. Steve Lyston
The month of May – which is the second month of the traditional Jewish calendar – is critical to every believer. It is the most prophetic month for the year. It is the month of Iyyar, which means Increase in Revelation. So May is the month of Revelation. It is a time of mobilization, when God is putting the family in order and battle array to march into the Promised Land. It is a time of record and evaluation to see who is ready to be on the Lord’s side.

May is a time of selection. God is selecting His people for their purpose and their assignment, and He is pouring out. We will feel the Shekinah Glory like never before to lead us through Egypt. It is a time of healing and deliverance, renewal and strength.

Many things will begin to be rebuilt and re-established; God will deal with the Government of God/the Church, the Civil Government and the Family. God is shifting us from enslavement to occupation and dominion. It is a time of consecration, increase, the supernatural provision for the vision, fresh manna (Exodus 16)

It is a time of fresh revelation and instruction, redemption, and spiritual transformation and cleansing. (Leviticus 28: 15 – 16)

Anticipate great revelations.

Also, Isaiah 55: 12 – 14, it is a time when secret enemies will be revealed and exposed, particularly those within the Body of Christ. The Judases within the Body of Christ and the Political arena – particularly those advisors and counselors of government. Some are double agents and they will be found out.

This is the time the Absaloms and Ahithophels will meet their demise.

It is critical for leaders to examine those around them with serious pitfalls to watch out for betrayal.

This is the month that the Lord will bring conspiracies down to naught.

This is the month of double for your trouble.

Prodigals shall return and conspiracies, plots and generational curses shall be brought to naught.

God shall turn the counsel of the enemy to foolishness as in II Samuel 15: 31 which says, “Then someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said, “O Lord, I pray, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!”

It is a month of proper recordkeeping and administration.

The faithful shall experience great spiritual, financial and material blessing as well as an increase in Spiritual gifts; and God shall lead us into a place of plenty.

Begin to dig ditches! (II Kings 3: 16 – 17)

Nobody likes or wants to be sick, but as life happens – as technology and global pollution increase, things get more difficult and stress intensifies, our health comes under great attacks from all angles.

The question is, are all parties in the health industry especially pharmacologists and research scientists more interested in treating rather than curing?

Health Services are among the most lucrative industries and the most political. In fact, this is an issue I have been speaking on for years. Even prophecies God has given to help individuals and nations, as well as recommendations given have been ignored.

At the rate we are going, only the rich will be able to be offered healthcare.

God wants us to be healed more than we desire to be healed; so much so that while Christ was on earth, it was his number one ministry.

“When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.” Luke 4: 40

He even commanded the church to ensure that healing be their number one priority. (Mark 16: 18; Luke 9: 1) God even gives the gift of healing to individuals for them to administer to those who are sick. He created plants, leaves and herbs for mankind’s health. With the amount of money each person spends during his/her lifetime to deal with the common cold alone, they could make Forbes’ list of billionaires. The greatest wealth transfer from the rich to the poor is in the area of wealth – and this is the area wherein God wants to do His greatest work. This is why the church should no longer be afraid of the media, theologians, the medical sector and heretics to carry out the healing ministry.

The very symbol used in the global medical field – the two serpents and the rod – is inspired by Numbers 21 and John 8: 36. Further to this, it was Jesus who died for us to receive healing! In Numbers 21, Moses was teaching the people that looking up at the bronze serpent on the stick which represents us lifting up our faith in Christ for the defeat of the enemy of sickness.

Healing is not for the logical. You can be given several instructions like Naaman received to dip seven times; or like the woman who was operating in a broken health system but was forced to change her mind set in order to receive her healing as she put her faith totally in God.

God Can Heal In Many Ways

There are many ways God can heal us – through surgery, advice of medical doctors, through the laying on of hands by praying elders and mothers in the church. (James 5: 13 – 18) God can allow medicine to be used, He can heal you supernaturally; He can use bushes and plants (II Kings 20) He can instruct us to Fast for healing – 3-day or 7-day Fasting. We can be healed by giving to the poor. Many doctors speak about the power and benefits of Fasting. However, consult your doctor before engaging in a Fast.

Additionally, you can anoint yourself with oil – as is found in Exodus 15: 26. God promises physical, emotional and spiritual healing. One of His names is Jehovah Rophe, which means ‘God is our Healer’. You can also receive your healing as you forgive! Wherever the greatest problem lies is where the greatest solution will be found.

Revelation 22: 1 – 2 and Ezekiel 47: 12 lets us know that the fruits and leaves of the tree are for the healing of nations. The Caribbean, Africa and other poorer nations need to open their eyes and begin to put plans in place- building labs, engage in increased agriculture, acquire machines, remove taxes from all medical equipment which will create many jobs for the regions! There will be great regret if we don’t put these in place.

The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal regarding Good Health and Well-being is one which countries need to work on achieving which will ultimately make a positive contribution to Poverty Eradication.

Not everyone is a prophet. However, everyone has the ability to prophesy or speak words that would bring change!

If God created the universe by speaking words, and we are made in His image, then we too have the capacity to speak our very future into being! Every word we speak, good or bad, will bring forth a harvest. We must decide what harvest we want.

First, God wants us to begin speaking positive words to cancel all the negative words we have spoken about ourselves or that others have spoken about us. (Proverbs 16: 23 – 24)

Confessing positive words brings healing, peace, creates light, life and builds our self-esteem. It brings hope and creates a new path for us. It brings victory!
Proverbs 18: 21 lets us know that a person’s life largely reflects the fruit of his tongue. To speak life is to speak God’s perspective on any issue of life. To declare anything negative is declaring death, and re-injects the past into your current situation.

We will be held accountable for every idle word we speak on a daily basis. The negative words we speak will determine whether we are righteous or whether we are condemned.

Many times we see people suffering and it is the result of what they speak about themselves. (Matthew 12: 36 – 37)

The tongue causes defilement, brings strife, war, sickness and curses. The Word of God even tells us that we can tame animals, but the tongue is more difficult to tame and releases poison. Many die, never recovering from this poison.

A negative or untamed tongue is controlled by a python spirit. Many churches, families and organizations break up because of the tongue. God wants us to use our tongues to create miracles and to change our environment as well as to bless our children! In the same way that fear is a spirit, faith is a spirit!

When the spies gave a negative report, based on the giants they saw in the Land of Promise, it nearly destroyed the entire camp. Your negative words can become the trap that destroys you. Jesus shows us that there is power in our tongue. He showed this to us in Mark 11, when He spoke to the fig tree to dry up from the root and it did!

There are many things and cycles against which we need to speak! There are curses that need to dry up from the root and we have the capacity to make it happen. There are contrary winds and storms that tend to come against us, but which we can speak against to stop them from coming in our direction. Within your mouth, you have the power to remove any obstacle coming against you. (Zechariah 4: 6 – 7) We are children of Grace and we have the authority within our mouths to remove or speak against any opposition.

God wants us to find a Scripture of Promise and begin to declare it daily! (Hebrews 11: 3; Genesis 1)

Joel 3: 10 reminds us that the weak should say they are strong; and if words create the environment, we can create a Godly environment for us and our families.

Declare these words today!
