The Resurrection season is the heart of our Christian faith, and it is critical for us all, not just Christians, to understand what it all means.
Because of the nature of this season, there are many blessings we can receive. First and foremost it is a time of hope –which is a powerful blessing. It means visions forgotten or lost can be restored. It means you can dream again and things that laid dormant can spring forth again, because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ; that includes health, family and even your finance. Many have given up hope; but this Resurrection season is an opportunity for restoration and resurrection on all levels. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, and He is calling us to a place where the barriers and boundaries can be removed, that we can receive the benefits that are in store for us.
There are certain blessings that are impossible to receive without consecration. Consecration and Holiness is not being preached in many churches today, but it does not mean it is no longer required. There are 2 significant offerings which are mandatory for every Christian – Sin Offering and Trespass Offering. As is outlined in Exodus 19: 5 – 6 and in I Peter 2: 4 – 10, we as believers, are the only people on the face of the earth who God refers to as a treasure and as royalty to Him. In order to receive the coming wealth transfer that God wants to bestow upon His people, we must consecrate ourselves. There are many believers who will change churches every six months in pursuit of prosperity. It is not the church you are a part of –if you are not prospering then the time has come for you to examine yourself. Sin has placed a boundary before us as is stated in Exodus 19; and God wants to dwell with and fellowship with His people, but it takes a consecrated lifestyle. We must be set apart from the things of the world – the norms. We cannot be consecrated as a holy nation without the Blood of Jesus and only a consecrated life can be transformed. Sadly, many are comfortable conforming. It is even sadder that many Christian churches no longer preach/teach about the Blood of Jesus. Everything is in the Blood – life, healing, hope, deliverance and so much more! The shed Blood of Jesus makes it all possible.
Consecration Is Vital
The reason we are having so many problems – Crime, Violence, Poor Economy, Evil Cycles –is that despite the fact that God’s people are praying for change, the people and the leaders are not consecrated. Isaiah 58 showed that the people were only fasting and praying to be heard while they turned a blind eye to the fatherless, the poor and the widow, and God said He could not answer their prayer. Isaiah 58 gives the dos and don’ts for God’s people. Many Christians amass wealth and yet become so wicked and greedy; and they are quite vocal in the society – as if they really care.
Only a consecrated lifestyle can be sensitive to God’s voice, will and purpose. There are too many people making poor decisions or are involved in sin, and are saying God has sanctioned it. He didn’t.
The Benefits of Giving
Let us be reminded of the benefits of giving. When you give unto the Lord during the Resurrection Season:
God will assign an angel to you. (Exodus 23: 20 & 23)
God will be an enemy to your enemies. (Exodus 23: 22)
God will give you prosperity. (Exodus 23: 25)
God will take sickness away from you. (Exodus 23: 25)
God will give you a long life. (Exodus 23: 26)
God will bring increase and inheritance. (Exodus 23: 30)
God will give a special year of blessing, and what the enemy stole will be returned to you and protected by God from being overtaken. (Exodus 23: 29)
If you are desperate for change, give during this season and experience the major, positive changes that will take place in your life.
II Corinthians 6: 16 – 7: 1 reminds us: “… As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
